Rotary basket parts washers are very valuable for a variety of different parts applications. In today’s blog post, JAYCO Cleaning Technologies takes a closer look at how basket parts washers actually work and what the process looks like.
The first step of the rotary basket part washer process is loading your baskets. Our MAFAC products include simple front-loading baskets with automatic sliding doors, so the loading process is not a hassle. Once your parts are loaded they go into the machine to begin their cycles.
The first cycle is a rotational spray cycle. Our rotary basket parts washers include multi-side spray systems with counter-rotating basket pickup systems, as well as specifically aligned nozzles. Your parts go through a complete rotating spray cleaning cycle, which ensures the entire surface area of your parts and components are covered.
The tank fills up with water to begin the rotational flood cycle as your parts go through this rotating spin cycle. This is a two-part process because your parts soak in the water while also going through the ultrasonic cycle. This spray flood process rinses and removes debris and grime on the parts.
Double-sided ultrasonic cleaning begins after the parts are submerged in water and following the rotational flooding process. This double-sided ultrasonic action further breaks away any remaining debris and grime, specifically in hard-to-reach areas of your components.
Once the ultrasonic process is complete, the machine drains the tank. The rotary basket parts washer subsequently applies a rotating spray cleaning cycle. This is essentially a final rinse cycle that rids your parts or components of any remaining debris.
The last step of this process is the drying cycle. At JAYCO Cleaning Technologies, our machines utilize a variety of different drying processes. For rotary basket parts washer technology, much of that process is very similar. It begins with a dripping cycle that immediately follows the last rotating spray cleaning cycle. Once that dripping cycle is complete, many machines go straight into a rotating hot air pulse blower cycle. Once the pulse blower cycle completes, the machine moves onto the final drying stage in the form of vacuum drying. This process leaves your parts completely dry and ready for use.
